Welcome to The Beaufort

Three stunning new venues have opened their doors to the people of Perth this month, offering delicious food, exciting drink menus and all-around good vibes on a rooftop terrace, in a hidden live music venue and throughout their beer and wine garden. My my!

It all sounds a bit too good to be true, but we would expect nothing less from the team behind Oktoberfest in the Gardens and The Old Synagogue in Fremantle, both high up on the memorable night out list!

The Beaufort has a little bit of something for everyone. The venue which was previously the Empire furniture store expands over three striking levels, and also houses Lotus, a modern Asian style restaurant, and Cypher, a hidden, speakeasy style cocktail bar.

So let’s break it down a little.

The Beaufort

Who doesn’t like a nice afternoon at the pub? And when the pub has been given a modern, state-of-the-art twist and has a rooftop terrace called Candy Lane, you know you’re stuck for the night! They have an extensive food menu, suitable for sharing (or not!). Their drinks menu is not one, not two, but TWELVE pages long, featuring a large selection of beers, wines and spirits and of course delicious cocktails (try the sour worm cocktail on the rooftop, it’s delish)!

When the drinks start flowing and the dancing shoes come out, the tables can be moved to the side to make way for a large dance floor area. This is surrounded by a tiered jungle vibe with lots of cute little corners for your next hinge date. Sounds like the perfect setting for weekend adventures!

If you’re a big beer lover, make sure to check in on their website to find out more about The Beaufort Crafternoons.

You can catch myself (Shann) playing some tunes at the Beaufort over the next few weeks, along with a list of other talented Perth DJs

Lotus

With two acclaimed Melbourne chefs teaming up, to plate up for you at Lotus, you know your tastebuds are bound to be tantalised. The restaurant spans over the venue’s three levels and features a modern take on south-east Asian cuisine. Designed to facilitate a sharing-style dining experience, the menu celebrates flavours from across the orient, drawing inspiration from Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Japan, China, Vietnam and India.

If you can’t decide what to eat, the award winning chefs have got you covered! You can try their ‘Feed Me’ feast for $65pp including dessert.

So sit back, relax, and get stuffed 🀀

Cypher

Cypher is named after The Beaufort Cypher, a means of encryption invented by Sir Francis Beaufort. Walk through the venue to find it’s hidden entry, past the Cyrillic projector and you’ll discover the quirky little bar and live music venue. While you would primarily head here for the exciting three-page cocktail list, you can also grab a couple of small bites to share, like cheese and meat boards.

But back to the cocktails….
Whether your poison is gin, tequila, rum, vodka, whiskey or even brandy, they’ve whipped up a concoction for you! If you’re not feeling adventurous, you can stick to the classics, or even opt for a wine or beer.

Struggling to find Cypher? Next time you pop to the toilet, look for a wall with some greenery πŸƒ
The hospo kings and queens behind these venues has not really revealed much else about Cypher at this stage, which makes it all that more intriguing.

Guess we’ll all just have to head to The Beaufort and find out πŸ˜‰ πŸ₯‚
