In 2016 a close friend asked me to become a Marriage Celebrant so that I could marry her and her future husband. I’d had a few gins and assumed it would be like Joey Tribbiani getting ordained for the day so I was excited and agreed. I had my giving and receiving script all ready but it turns out, we take getting married a bit more serious in Australia than they do in the US.

After completing my (lengthy) course I was an Authorised Celebrant. My first wedding was scary AF with my friend hiring some of the best wedding vendors in the state and little ol’ me doing my first ever wedding ceremony.

After that day, I was hooked! I absolutely love being given the opportunity to not only see the best in people but to be standing next to a couple in a celebration of their relationship is such an honourable experience and one I do not take lightly. I truly think that planning a wedding and the wedding day should be loads of fun and I believe that if you curate a list of awesome vendors who are on the same page then it becomes a stress-free, fun-filled day for everyone!

I am very open minded and I’m usually on board for whatever you’ve imagined for your wedding ceremony, from a full traditional ceremony to a ceremony that breaks all of the “rules” (not legal ones 😉)
