Oran Harkin is a Perth-based DJ, saxophonist and musician with a deep understanding of music, performance and production.

With a Bachelor of Music (Honours) from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, graduating with First Class Honours, and postgraduate studies in music in Perth, Oran brings a musician’s understanding to DJing. His knowledge of harmony, rhythm, arrangement and musical structure allows him to read a room, build a set naturally and make musical decisions beyond simply matching tracks.

Oran has performed at 20+ weddings, university balls for the University of Sydney, Macquarie University and UNSW, and events ranging from intimate private functions to crowds of 1,500+ people across Sydney and Wollongong. He has also performed at events including Bunbury Fringe, Someday Soon Festival, and a wide range of venues and events across Western Australia and the east coast.

As a saxophonist, Oran adds a live element to his performances, improvising over songs entirely by ear and adapting to whatever is happening in the room. He can perform over DJ sets, accompany live acts or perform as a standalone saxophonist, bringing an energetic and spontaneous element to events.

Whether behind the decks or with a saxophone in hand, Oran combines technical musical knowledge with years of live performance experience to create sets that are responsive, energetic and genuinely musical.
