What if my event goes for more/less than the package time?
We have a 3 hour minimum for private bookings and the extended hourly rate for our DJs is $100ph +GST. (Please note that this rate is strictly for private bookings)
Do you offer a discount on your packages if I or the venue supplies the audio equipment?
If the equipment that you provide is adequate for your function size, then we can look at using your system, however it’s strongly recommended that you allow us to bring our own system so that the DJ is confident in using that gear, and knows what it’s capable of.
How and when do I need to pay?
We require a 50% deposit to lock in your event, the remaining balance is due the week of your event. Please note that if your event is in less than 10 days, full payment is required to lock in the booking. Once we receive your deposit, you’ll receive the updated invoice and an e-mail intro with your DJ for the night where you can discuss music, run sheet etc.
Do you take requests?
Of course! We ask that clients send through a list of 30 or so songs for their event if they wish. We then base the remainder of the night on that list. We are also open to taking requests on the night from your guests (provided they are decent requests).
What do you need from us on event day?
All we need is power for our equipment, we have all of the cables and extensions needed.
What does the party lighting look like?
The party lighting that we provide differs slightly from DJ to DJ, however they all achieve the same effect. If you’d like to see some examples of what your DJs party lighting looks like, please let us know and we will send through some photos/videos.
The venue has informed us we aren’t allowed smoke machines, is that ok?
This is a common request from venues as they have smoke detectors and void insurance cover by deactivating them. Our partying lighting setups look great both with and without the use of a smoke machine so don’t worry!
Are you able to supply music & equipment for the ceremony?
Yes! We offer a ceremony package which includes a speaker, a wireless microphone & an aux cord. Please note that the speaker will need to be within 20m of power.
We want a specific style of music for our wedding, are you able to play that?
Of course! Upon booking we will provide you with a Wedding Music Planner form where you can let us know the type of music you are after for your big day! This will be discussed in greater detail when we meet for our Pre Wedding Consultation Meeting.
We don’t know how to format our wedding, are you able to help us?
We’d love to! We have been a part of hundreds of weddings so we know all the do’s and don’ts to ensure you make the most of your wedding day. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you want our opinion on how to make your big day the best it can be.
We have a friend/family member who is going to MC. Is that ok?
Yes of course! We find that having a friend/family member on MC duties makes for a much more personal flow of formalities. If it’s their first time MCing a wedding, feel free to link us up for a phone call so we can make sure they are on top of all that is required from them on the night.
We want a mix of songs for our first dance, are you able to do this for us?
Sure! We know how important this part of the night is for you so please let us know if theres anything we can do to make it amazing! Whether is mixing an acoustic version of a song into the dance edit or even a mix of 4 or so songs, let’s do it!
